Automotive research and consulting firm AutoPacific announced the 2011 Ideal Vehicle Awards (IVA), which reveal the vehicles that most closely match their owners’ desires. Volvo was awarded three IVAs this year. The S60 was named the most ideal aspiration luxury car, the C30 the most ideal premium compact car and the XC70 the most ideal luxury crossover SUV.

A newly published analysis from the Highway Loss Data Institute (HLDI) and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) indicates that Volvo XC60s get into fewer low-speed crashes than comparable vehicles thanks to Volvo’s City Safety technology, a standard feature on all XC60s.
